How Legends Arena Brought the FIFA World Cup to Life

Thousands of fans, two cities, and three extraordinary nights of football.

Some events are planned. Others grow into something much bigger.

The FIFA World Cup 2026 screenings at Legends Arena were the latter.

What began with the Quarter Finals inside the Player’s Lounge at Bank Alfalah Legends Arena Karachi grew, match by match, into one of the most talked-about World Cup screening experiences in the city. As the tournament progressed, so did the scale. From an intimate indoor setting to two futsal fields for the semi-finals and ultimately four fields filled with more than 1,600 fans for the final.

Across three major screening nights in Karachi, over 3,000 people came together to experience the World Cup. And by the final night, the experience had extended beyond Karachi, with Coca-Cola Legends Arena Lahore bringing football’s biggest night to fans in Lahore as well.

It became much more than somewhere to watch football. It became somewhere to experience it.

It Started in the Player’s Lounge

The journey began with the Quarter Finals inside the Player’s Lounge at Bank Alfalah Legends Arena Karachi.

The idea was simple: create a comfortable, high-quality setting where football fans could watch some of the tournament’s biggest matches together, with a large-format screen, food and refreshments, and the atmosphere of a shared matchday experience.

The response quickly exceeded what we had anticipated. The lounge filled up, every major moment drew a collective reaction, and the energy inside the room felt very different from a conventional screening. More importantly, people wanted to know what was coming next.

It was clear that the semifinals needed a much bigger stage.

From the Player’s Lounge to the Futsal Fields

For the semifinals, we took the World Cup outdoors and transformed two futsal fields into a large-scale viewing arena.

The additional space allowed us to build an experience around the football rather than simply putting a match on a screen. A massive outdoor display, matchday sound, food, entertainment, and fan activations came together around hundreds of people watching the same ninety minutes.

As the stakes on the pitch grew, so did the crowds and the atmosphere at Legends Arena. The semifinals brought a completely different energy to the venue and gave us our clearest indication yet of the demand for the final.

Then the tickets went on sale.

Then Came the Final

Demand moved faster than we expected.

Tickets sold out. The requests didn’t stop.

So instead of closing the doors, we changed the event.

The original two-field setup in Karachi was expanded across four futsal fields, opening additional capacity and transforming the final into the largest football viewing experience we had ever hosted.

On the final night, more than 1,600 fans walked into Bank Alfalah Legends Arena Karachi.

From above, the scale was remarkable: four fields filled with people, a sea of football shirts, families and groups of friends alongside supporters of rival clubs, all focused on the same screen.

For the duration of the match, the entire venue seemed to move with the game. Every chance brought anticipation, every major moment travelled through the crowd, and every celebration was amplified by more than a thousand people experiencing it together.

And Karachi wasn’t watching alone.

The final also marked another milestone for Legends Arena as Coca-Cola Legends Arena Lahore hosted its own FIFA World Cup final screening, extending the experience to a second city.

For one night, both Arenas were united by the same match—two cities, two crowds, and one shared love for football.

3,000+ Fans in Three Nights

Across the three major screening nights in Karachi, more than 3,000 football fans came through Legends Arena.

The number speaks to the scale of the screenings, but it only tells part of the story.

There were the chants before kickoff, the tension during the close moments, the eruption after a goal, the celebrations, the reactions, and the conversations between complete strangers who happened to support the same team or very different ones.

For those nights, Legends Arena felt less like a sports facility and more like a football stadium.

That was always the ambition: not simply to broadcast the FIFA World Cup, but to create the closest thing to a true matchday experience for fans watching from Pakistan.

Built Around the Experience

Delivering an event at this scale meant continuously adapting as demand grew. Screens and sound were scaled up, viewing areas expanded, food and beverage options increased, fan areas created, entertainment added and operations adjusted to accommodate thousands of guests while maintaining the experience throughout.

Our partners were an important part of bringing that vision to life. Tapmad joined the screening series as our Official Streaming Partner, with Red Bull Pakistan and Kia Pakistan supporting the events as Event Partners.

Together, we were able to create something that went well beyond the conventional sports screening and demonstrate the appetite for major live sporting experiences when they are given the stage they deserve.

The Crowd Made It What It Was

We could build the setup, bring in the screens, and keep opening more space as tickets sold out. What we could never create ourselves was the atmosphere.

That came from the people who showed up.

From a packed Player’s Lounge during the Quarter Finals, to two fields for the Semi Finals, and finally four fields filled with more than 1,600 people on Final night, Karachi kept pushing us to go bigger. And on the biggest night of the tournament, Lahore joined in.

Over 3,000 fans in Karachi. Two cities for the final. One incredible World Cup experience.

To everyone who watched, cheered, celebrated, and shared these nights with us: thank you.

The FIFA World Cup may be over, but these screenings showed us what is possible for live sport in Pakistan and set the stage for much bigger sporting moments to come.
